
Swedish luxury car maker Volvo has taken a step further in consolidating their operations in India with a launch of a new boutique showroom in the plush South Mumbai area.

We managed to speak to Mr Charles Frump, Managing Director, Volvo Car India about the sentiment and the plan for Volvo India’s aggressive expansion. He reflected that “Volvo Car India continues to bolster itsnetwork by opening a new boutique showroom in Prabhadevi under theownership of KIFS Motors. It is the 2nd showroom in Mumbai and highlightsthe focus of the fastest growing luxury car maker in one of the largestluxury car markets in India.”
The addition of the new showroom means KIFS Motors partners with the Volvo India Group for the second time after their first successful dealership inauguration in Mumbai suburbs some time ago.
The Swedish luxury car company Volvo established its presence in India in 2007and has since then, worked intensively to market the Swedish brand in thiscountry. Volvo currently sells the XC40, XC60, XC90, V40, V90, S60 and S90 models in India.

Volvo with its aggressive pricing, high quality product line and armed with an aggressive expansion strategy takes on the likes of the Audi, Mercedes and BMW, JLR in India.

Volvo Cars currently markets products through its dealerships in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi NCR – South Delhi, West Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Pune, Raipur, Surat, Vishakhapatnam and Vijayawada.

We feel for a brand which has been in shadows for way too long, this is the right step forward and with a move like this, it gives a very solid impression of Volvo India’s future strategy.
