Audi India launched the new Audi A6 Lifestyle Edition as a means to boost its existing product lifecycle of the A6. The newly launched Audi A6 Lifestyle Edition boasts of features such as Rear Seat Entertainment, Espresso Mobil and Entry Exit Lights with Audi Projection.
The Rear Seat Entertainment is what Audi has gone full differential on and is what stands out amongst all. The rear seats get two touchscreen tablets 10-inch each, which can be removed from the fixture and used outside the car. Additionally, you also get Audi hologramed puddle lamps that project the brand logo on the ground. The Espresso in-car coffee maker is a touch of genius. As the A6 caters to CXO’s, business class people early morning work and in-car coffee is a very thoughtful feature.

What remains consistent with the stock Audi A6 is the Bose audio system, adaptive air suspension and MMI infotainment system with navigation and voice commands.
Engine too will not be touched and the option of petrol- 1.8 litre turbo petrol engine/ 2.0 litre turbo diesel will remain consistent.
During the launch Mr Rahil Ansari, Head, Audi India was reportedly quoted as” Luxury is about having a range of choices and at Audi, we always strive to offer the best configurations in our Audi range to our discerning customers. The Audi A6 Lifestyle Edition has been configured specially for Audi customers who are looking forward to enjoy the thrill of driving in the lap of luxury. Features like the Rear Seat Entertainment and Espresso Mobil in the Audi A6 Lifestyle Edition are meant for the new age customers who like to move around impressively and with style. With the introduction of the Audi A6 Lifestyle Edition, we have further increased the luxury quotient of the already favourite Audi A6 amongst the luxury car buyers.”
With a sweet spot in pricing at Rs 49.99 lakh and severely undercutting the petrol A6 by good 5 lakhs, we feel the Audi A6 Lifestyle Edition is a great value proposition.
In India the Audi A6 rivals with the likes of the BMW- 5 Series, the Mercedes E-Class, Volvo S90 and the Jaguar XF. While globally Audi has already unveiled and launched the new A6, that one should make inroads in India by the third quarter of 2019. Till then, the A6 Lifestyle Edition can definitely hold the fort for Audi.
