Portofino is a fishing village on the Italian Riviera coastline, southeast of Genoa city. Hold on why are we telling you this, this is because, Ferrari’s replacement for the California T is named after this village and its called the Portofino. Priced at 3.5 crore in India, it made its debut at Ferrari’s 70th anniversary celebrations last year in Italy.

The Ferrari Portofino gets a 3.9 litre twin turbo V8 engine which is the same on on the car it replaces, but with new internals. Portofino, sprints from 0-100 in just 3.5 seconds, and help it do that is an engine which pumps out 600 HP and has a peak torque of 760 NM, mated to a 7 speed DCT gearbox.

Enter the Portofino, and you realise, that the Portofino ha 2+2 configuration, that means along with your spouse, now you can take your kids also on those adrenaline filled late night runs. What impresses in the Portofino further is the cabin which is upmarket and has a luxurious feel. What we particularly liked is the way, the centre console screen in well integrated in the overall scheme of things.

The car now comes with an Apple CarPlay, which makes connecting your iPhone that much easy. Other features include electric seats which can be cooled and can be adjusted in 18 different ways, and the Portofino also features a new wind deflector design that helps reduce down airflow by almost 30 percent.

Ferrari has paid equal attention to comfort, convenience and luxury. With a boot capacity of almost 300 litres, you can take this Ferrari on those quick short trip outings, without being fussy. Well, think Ferrari and think practical, was never the case before, but with this New Portofino, that is going to change, for a good we must say.

To be sold at the dealerships in Mumbai and Delhi, and priced at 3.5 crore, this Ferrari gets as practical as it can get.
