Lamborghini Huracan EVO Launched in India at 3.73 Cr - We take a quick look
Italian performance car maker, Lamborghini just brought a gun to a knife’s fight, launched a stunning, refreshed new EVO variant of the Huracan in India this last week. We have always loved the Lamborghini’s for their stunning looks, sharp and crisp detailing and no-nonsense performance. And the updated Huracan EVO is no different.
Let’s look at the quick facts about the Huracan EVO
vectoring system more about it in the details belowground
A little backstory about this particular model, the Huracan Performante came to India almost 2 years back and took the Lamborghini lovers by a storm.
Forward 2 years and the beast has only got better. So what’s new on the EVO you ask?
For starters, the EVO gets all new gears in an all new four-wheel steering and torque vectoring system. Part of the LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata), the former is taken from the Aventador S, while the latter was part of the Performante.? ?The EVO also gets the active steering system called the Enhanced Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS).
True to its legacy, the Evo ups the ante on the Huracan and the Performante with some solid visual tweaks. There is the newly designed Ypsilon-shaped front splitter with an integrated wing. However, the most noticeable change comes at the rear where instead of massive dramatic rear spoiler and wing of the Performante, the EVO gets a subtle, tight-lipped spoiler peaking out. The EVO sports rear race car-like diffusers to make up for the absence of the massive wing and the spoiler.
From various driving modes perspective, the modes present in other Lamborghini’s make their presence here too. The STRADA Mode, more tuned towards making the car road legal, the SPORT Mode, that let’s you have some extra fun while on the run. And then that ever menacing CORSA Mode, which lets the hell break-loose. Generally recommended to be used only on racetracks.
Another new feature addition and first of its time is the application of the 8.4 inch touchscreen. The infotainment system comes integrated to Android Auto and Apple Car Play with options for voice command integration.
The Huracan EVO in India is pitted against the likes of ?Porsche 911?, ?Ferrari 488?, ?Audi R8,? ?Mercedes-Benz AMG GT?, and ?Maserati GranTurismo?.
We feel the refreshed new persona of the Huracan was long time coming since the launch of the Performante well two years back. This could give the Huracan product portfolio a second wind before finally the Italian performance car maker thinks of replacing it.
